Looking for outdrive repainting sticky

I have a Volvo sx that will be sandblasted. Looking for the sticky or a link to proper steps after the blasting. I’ve read zinc chromate and then paint but I’m not sure. Thanks again

First of all don't sand blast it.. Walnut shells, or glass bead (less abrasive than sand.) Sand can pit the aluminum.
All you want to do is remove the paint, not the metal.
How bad is it that you need to sandblast it that you couldn't just scuff it primer and paint?
Sand blasting to do it right you should separate the upper and lower

Thalasso you were thinking of the same one I was thinking of on Boater Ed. Gee Bee was the user name right? Its labor intensive to paint aluminum right especially on an outdrive due to inaccessible areas in the transom assembly. When I do mine because it's antifouled I just get it the best I can and then prime with Primocron and paint with Trilux II. It will never look good but that's the reality of salt water boating.
