Looking for manual & year of Johnson 2.5 hp

Looking for the year of my Johnson model HD 25, 2.5 hp outboard. The serial # is 723178. Would like to get it in working order but need service manual and info on where to find parts. It's been in the family since at least the late 60's but hasn't been run for many years.

With that outboard, you're going to want an original OEM manual. You can get it here or here. <br /><br />That's a 1946-50 outboard you have there. There were no model changes during those years apparently.

I think I've located a service manual...many thanks, but, still trying to locate a parts distributor for this vintage engine. Any suggestions?
