Looking for leads to some parts sorely needed

Hey Everyone,
I just recevied a 1978 EBKO and trailer. It's in need of some TLC but otherwise pretty good shape. I am missing the sterndrive portion, can anyone give me any ideas where I can look and not pay through the nose? The last estimate I saw on line was over $1,700, and that was way too much.

If I can find a used one, I would be happy! I'm new to the boating world and need all the help I can get. Thanks for any and all suggestions!!!!

Pictures would help. Do you mean the outdrive. What motor do you have?

Yea post what kind of engine you have.

You can get a SEI drive if its a merc for $1200. If its an OMC then $1800. I dont know about a Penta.


If you dont want to spend that kind of money then your only other bet is to try to find a used one locally or buy one on eBay. Ebay may be risky.

Keep an eye on Craigslist, that stuff turns up all the time. The only problem with that approach is you're never sure exactly what you will end up with
