looking for key for remote johnson 60 hp

hello im looking for a key for my 60 hp johnson outboard key number is for upto 1972 barrel , key number is 0501623 - Ignition Key KF-108 Up to 1972, tried on line only place i found oe was USA and they will not ship to UK , can anyone help or point me in the right direction please ,wordave

A quick search turned up lots of them. Amazon, Walmart, Wholesalemarine, Marineengine (May have a branch in Australia or at least they do ship there), eBay and others. Some must post to UK.

Back in "The Day", a real locksmith could make the key from the (KF) code. I dunno, do they have any real locksmiths any more?

I believe stevens instrument company sells keys and mastersets. They used to anyways.

There are a few left but most are drill and replace now. It will soon be a lost art.

Gee, this is a boat. Get a new key or a lock and key. One snip of a wire cutter allows the boat to be used. Boats can be stolen by towing them away with a rowboat, dingy or waverunner. Security is not paramount.
