Newman Boats were built in Miami, OK in the 70's & no longer in business. The Area Chamber of Commerce there is of NO HELP. I'm trying to gather more info from a local museum. Thus far all I know is that it was a family owned business & the last surviving family member, the owners son, no longer lives in Miami. I want to gather as much info as possible. I purchased my 1971 Newman DeVille 21 yrs ago, three yrs later I took a yr to completely restore it. It's been a wonderful old vessel & the GM 250ci; MerCruiser I/O has been a pleasure to operate.

Nice looking boat!

If you have pics of the rebuild, you should post them in the restoration forum.

This is a really really old post, but replying because I'm a new Newman owner and also looking for more information and other Newman owners. I bought a 1985 Newman 213 Sportster. The shop I bought it from had some original marketing materials, but not much else, but happy to share if you're still looking for info.
