So this boat has been sitting on my girlfriends property for at least 10 years. In the process of cleaning up the land I decided to fix the trailer up, bring it home and restore it but I don't know what it is.

Anyone have an idea the brand/model/etc of it? Perhaps a value in restored condition?

Thanks in advance for the help!

Before you sink one dime into it get the paper work straightened out, of you can end up with a 3000.00 bird bath.

Of course. Working on that when I get it back from the cabin.

We know it was my gfs uncle's boat at one time. He has since passed and has no wife, next of kin etc.

The other thing I forgot to mention was that the trailer has a Ted Williams plate on it. Not sure if the boat is the same brand.

Ted Williams would indicate the trailer was sold by Sears many years ago, when they carried the Ted Williams brand of marine equipment.

Very interesting design. Though you may never find who bult it as there have been so many small local boat companies that have come and gone over the years.

Best of luck with sorting out the paper work. There really has to be a way to get it done. May have to go through a court to establish ownership and this is one of the rare occasions that I'd believe it would be worth the effort.

It's a cool lookin' little boat. If you would enjoy runnin' it, or just having bragging rights with a cool old boat that looks good as new, then go ahead and restore it. If you're wondering about restoring to make a few bucks off selling it ... sink your money into something else.

Old boats, unlike old cars, don't generate real returns based on age (with some limited exceptions). There's no real market for 'em. You'll spend more fixin' it than you will get sellin' it. So, make sure you're in for a fun project before you commit money to it.

Enjoy though, it's a unique boat.

I'm really hoping to keep/restore for myself. The value question was more for in a situation where its worth X dollars unrestored and X-1 restored by myself to my liking, I'd rather sell it off.

It's going to be a fun test of my skills. Lots of dents to be pulled on the fins. Lots of wood to be replaced. Wiring, etc.

Thanks all for the help.

Restore what may be a Crestliner Jetstreak for fun. You will never turn her over for profit. File:Crestlinerb58015.jpg - Classic Boat Library This is 1958 and here is 1959 File:Crestlinerb59007.jpg - Classic Boat Library

With the state numbers and rego stickers, you have a possible starting point for paperwork. Depending how long ago she was in the system, the state may still have records. Good luck and welcome aboard with a unique boat from the past.

Nice find! I'd say the 58 is a match and exactly how I envisioned the restore to look. Now I have a baseline to work off of!

Thanks much!

Between the two links and the specs, you should be able to ID which model you have. The reddish paint kinda indicates shes a 14' and takes up to a 35 HP motor. Before you get carried away, see what you can do about the paperwork.

Extra cool! This is the first boat I've ever heard of with "Turn Signals".
I am guessing the the lights are in the aft end of the fins.

Read the details of the 58 Crestliner very closely.
Are they saying the Steering Wheel (Remote?) can be moved to the port side???

There is currently no steering wheel there, so I would assume it could go on either side. It looks like the boat uses some sort of a pulley system for steering the boat as you can see in the picture below:
