LOOKING FOR HELP WITH A OMC STRINGER STERN DRIVE

Hello, i have recently picked up a 1976 OMC stern drive with a 302 (5.0L) Model number: 980707

I am having issues finding parts in my price range for the reverse coil and lead, even on ebay and it being used they still go for around 400, but i can find the forward coil and lead assembly for 75-150$USD. so i am wondering what is the difference between the two coils or are they the same?

The reverse coil has 4 threaded holes to hold the propshaft bearing carrier.----Do you have this apart now ??----Not much can go wrong with the electromagnet.----What trouble shooting have you done if any ???----Your location ?

my lead wire was extremely corroded and has broke apart between the connections at the reverse coil and the cable tube

all i have done for trouble shooting is an ohms bench test from the lead to the coil, get 6.5-7ohms
