Looking for Chrysler parts...35hp

Anyone have a trusted place to buy parts online?<br />The motor is a 35hp Chrysler model #3551 SN#1183<br />Not sure of the year I want to say its in the 60's. I have a repair book but it doesnt give the years for the model number.<br /><br />I need a carb float and a lower unit gasket kit with the prop shaft seal.<br /><br />Thanks

Best guess is it is a 1969 motor. I would go to www.chryslercrew.com and buy a parts manual. Then go here mercury site <br />Even though the merc site only has info for motors from 74 and newer with the parts manual you can find the parts that are still compatable with your motor. Merc changed the first set of numbers on the part numbers but the last part numbers should match the parts manual. There are lots of places on the internet that still sell standard parts like impellers, thermostats, carb kits and parts and fuel pump and parts. Rings and pistons may be a challenge however if you are in need of these parts it might be best to get a newer motor<br /><br />Good Luck

I just picked up an older Chrysler and I found a place on Laing's Outboards site to send and e-mail with your model and serial #. I use Fairwinds Marina. They specialize in Chrysler. They sell over the net as well. www.fairwindsmarina.com. So far they have treated me right.
