Hello guys!

Just wondering - i am looking for an used Volvo 3.0 fuel pipe (#3854869) - the price on dougrussel is about $57,29 and that is a bit much. That's the metal hose from the fuel pump to the carburator. Anyone got any around?

Thanx

don't know if this will help. but on my last boat, i used a breakline and a tubing bender to make it fit. was much better than the unmarked rubber fuel line i replaced.....

It's not made from rubber - i think it's an aluminium one with brass fittings on the ends

It's a steel line, not aluminum. A 3/8" brake line (Steel) can be purchaced from NAPA. Get one longer than needed, bend (with a tubing bender) to proper shape, cut to length and reflare the cut end with a double flare.

You might look around a bit. DRussell can be pricey.Look at a Cobra V6 manifold, for example. But it does come down to supply and demand.

If you came to my shop,I could make you a fuel line,or instal the $60.00 part.

But if I make it up from brake line,it will take a bit of time to measure, shape and double flare.I think you'd be best off getting the Volvo part.It 'bolts' right in.

Now if YOU can,cut bend and flare it yourself,go for it.

Things change quickly when the shop rate is $75.00 or more an hour.
