looking for an moeller electronic fuel sending unit part

I was checking the fuel leak on my boat and found out that the electric part on the top of the fuel sender was broken. I tried to find this part online but was out of luck. I really don't want to buy the whole unit just to replace it. any ideas as to where I can buy it? thx

What do you mean the "electric part"? Not understanding what you need. What type of sender?

I doubt you'll find just a part of the Mueller fuel sender considering they only sell them whole, don't sell parts for it, and nobody parts them out. A new sending unit will run you like 50$.

Sending units are sold as one piece and cannot be disassembled. You'll have to pull your old one out and did you find the leak?

Some of the older fuel tank sending units had a separate electric capsule mounted on top of the sender, out of the tank. It appeared to be magnetic, and showed the fuel level in the tank with a red arrow. It also had a electrical connection to connect to a standard gauge.

Is that what you have?

My unit had a conversion from mechanical to electrical fuel sender and I found a similar unit on Amazon for $52. Looks like it is about the same price as changing the whole sender, but a lot less work, just remove two screws to get the old unit out and then put a new unit in. I posted the photos of the old broken unit and the one I found on amazon
