hey all was talking o an older gentlmen abou a 70hp merc he has for sale he was un sure of the year but figured it was around 20 years old ..i didn see the outboard as it is sitting in the shop where he bought his new engine he old me i could calll them and talk to them about it but they were closed just wondring what kinda name you guys would give his engine? power.reliablity good bad ugly,,lol i asked him if it had elecric strast he said well no cuz his cables stayed with his boat so im thinking he assumes the starter was in his boat not the engine or i at least hope also what #of cylinders would this engine have hes asking 575cdn but is open to offers thanks in advance ...ps im runnin a 82 90 merc right now (that wont start) how do u think the 70 would compare to the 90 i hate the idea of going smaller but moneys tight an i really really wanna get on the water
