Looking for a Used Starter..

All,
I was wondering if there are any good sources to find a used starter for a 99' GSX Limited Ski? That is all the info I was handed on it, if you need the engine size, or anything else, please let me know.

just check that it really needs a starter,, half the time it's a locked up engine or blown pump keeping the thing from turning over,, or the ground wire is corroded and not making contact properly.

SORRY! I can't read!!! This is a ski that belongs to a friend of a guy I work with, and I never looked at it. His note read Stater, but the 't' kind of had a curve in it and I read it as a starter. It is in fact the 'stater'.

Is there a way to test the 'stater' without pulling the cover off---the flywheel --etc..? According to other conversations, you mentioned an ohms test on each segment of the stater (which, I'd have to pull apart the cover, flywheel I'm sure..)? What is the best way to test? What are the readings to look for? Thank you,

you test it at the plug on the front of the engine,,3 yellow wires,, could be the rectifier also
