Hello guys my grandpa left me a old 95 bass tracker with a 1995 Mercury 40hp 1040312RT I’m trying to get back together when I’m not in school and on weekends it was sitting for awhile i know one cylinder has no compression at all I’m looking for a service manual online that’s free I’m 15 and don’t have a lot of money during the winter since I’m in school just wanna make sure things are put back together correctly I’m not able to work so I’d prefer a free one if it’s possible online somewhere

You won't find an online manual for free due to copyright laws.

Any site you find "free" manuals may be a scam site

You can get used manuals cheap on eBay. Or new manuals thru Brunswick (Mercury)

I have a 1992 40 hp Merc and found my manual on Ebay. Gotta do lots of searching though as they go quick...

I get most of my manuals for used equipment of various types, including outboards, off ebay....some used, some new reprints.....yes they cost money.

My last three manuals off EBay were 15 bucks for my small Merc 2.2, paid 35 bucks for my Mercuruiser manual and 20 bucks for my 40 to manual. Money very well spent considering how much those manuals helped !
