Looking for a part

We just purchased a 1990 Fisher Aluminum SV18GT with a 115 Merc. Mariner outboard motor. The boat is in fabulous condition except it's missing a part (please pardon my lack of boating vernacular). The missing part is on the back of the boat, to the left of the motor, on the corner. For want of a better term, it like a corner cap. The screws are still in the hull, but the cap part is missing. I tried the local Tracker dealer, but had no luck since the boat is 20+ yrs. old. Any ideas? I know it is only cosmetic, but if I can find one it'd be cool. Can't wait to get it in the water!

Welcome to iboats jillbert. I know the part you are talking about but do not know the name of it. In the Johnson evinrude forum at the top of the page is a sticky called top secret files. In there Is a link for marine salvage yards. That would probably be your best bet for finding that part. Hopefully someone else can help you with the name to make your search easyier.

Transom cap. Sometimes there's some on ebay. They are tough to find. We do have a member here (MichaelP) who custom makes them for our Starcrafts.
