Hi, I'm new to the forums.

I was hoping I could find someone to help me with a problem. I bought a 94' FW fling about 2 years ago. DIdn'r run. I took the engine apart and found nothing wrong. But on a closer look I found a major crack in the pump below the engine. I think this is the jet pump drive but the book I bought has very little info when it comes to inboards. The motor is a v4 115hp Evan-john crossflow t2 stroke. I took the part over to a shop to see if they could repair it (gray alum) but Comparing the price of the repair (over $300) plus it could crack again I figure it would be better to get a new or used one. Any help please. This part was below the motor and connected to the boat. And if you would know where I could get one would be great too.

It's still an outboard, best bet is to post in the Johnson/Evenrude forum.

No its an inboard. Pictures are a problem as the part im taking about is gone. The guy wanted cash to do the repair but I didnt ask for it to be done I just wanted an idea how much it would cost. The motor is your standard v4 inboard. On the bottom of the boat in the back where the motor sits there is a shaft. This pump sits on top of that, then the motor. I'm not that upto date with jet boats this is my first.

No,...... It's Not an Inboard,..... Certianly Not a Standard V4 Inboard...........

What you have,.... Is a Glorified Jet-Ski.......

Your "Standard V4 Inboard" is Actually an Outboard motor that's been laid over,+ used as a Jet-Ski motor.......

The Piece your Looking For is known as the Suction Housing, I Believe.....
I also believe that the Cheapest way out for you is to go back,+ Pay for your Repaired piece.......

Either Way,.......
If you take your post up to the Jet-Ski forum,......
You'll have Better Luck,.......

'Cause,...... Your boat does NOT have a Standard V4 Inboard..........

Good Luck..........
