Looking for a part & help

I have a 1994 Nissan 25hp (NS25C) motor. I was replacing the gasket and looking at the timing last night and discovered some backyard engineering on the motor I need to fix. I am looking for part number 34663-7170M. It is a handle link rod. I also need 93016-0500M for the nut, and 34505-2290M for the ball joint. I need one of the rods and two each of the nuts and ball joints.I have been told it has been discontinued. If I cannot find it, is the later rod and fittings adaptable to my setup?

I ended up finding these today in a repair shop that was the around 20th one I called. I realize this motor is 15 years old, but with so many of them out there I don't get why they quit having parts for them.
