I do most of my own work on my boat, but certain engine stuff I want to leave to the pros. My engine has leaked all of it's oil out onto my driveway. I've been trying to get it up to my mechanic but he's very old school when it comes to communicating and setting up appointments. It's really not working for me. I need to find someone else. Someone who knows how to email, or god forbid, text. If you only operate via phone, and you only work mornings and I only work nights, then we're really never going to be able to do business. Ugh it's so frustrating.
So I'm looking for an engine mechanic near Boston. It's a very small bowrider with an old '89 mercury outboard engine. I can easily bring the boat to him. I'm trying to avoid the large places like Russo marine that will probably charge a fortune for something like this. All it is is some cracked oil supply lines. But that oil is so vitally important, I really want a professional to fix it. I'm happy to leave the engine to a mechanic and I'll do all of the 'body' work.
If you have any suggestions, reply with details. Best not to send a private message, I usually don't notice them for months.
