I am looking for a new bowrider with a tower for skiing/wakeboarding/whatever. City is annoying me about my dock so I need to get rid of my 24ft Hurricane for something a little smaller. I am looking for something between 17 and 22 ft with a powerful outboard engine. Somewhere around 150 hp. What brands should I go for?

BB,

If you want a boat for skiing/boarding, you need to decide what the primary purpose it (skiing vs boarding)... Dependent upon that anser, you can choose accordingly.

However, I would go with an inboard.... I like the Malibus and the Mastercrafts...

Adios

Re: Looking for A Boat

There are not a lot of OB powered models with towers at this point. So the tower will likely have to be an add-on. With the add-on tower you can consider a wide range of boats.

For strong performance in a small bowrider, fish-n-ski models are an obvious choice. There are even a few of these setup for saltwater (no carpet). These fish-n-ski boats have already been discussed here on another thread -
www.iboats.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=001123

Otherwise, maybe just a smaller deckboat? There are lots of 21' deckboats to choose from now. Many with OB power.

Kelly Cook
