Hey guys. Been shopping boats since december and with the weather getting nicer I am ready to be on the water. I spent the first 3 or 4 months dead set on a Tahoe. The price was right and I liked the boat, etc. Well in the end Bass Pro held to the reputation that they have on here and pissed me off. I got up and walked out on them as I was getting ready to sign the papers. Either way needless to say I went down the street to a local Bayliner dealer who has a very good reputation here in town and found out I could get a similar Bayliner starting at less of a price so I was very happy with that. What I'm looking at is a 2008 leftover 195 with the 4.3 carb in it. It has the sport seating and the family fun package. What can anyone tell me about these 195's, pros and cons? Thank you in advance for any opinions.

hiya redbird,

... i think that 195 will do you just dandy! 4.3 plenty of umph, some will say the efi would be better but does add cost. we test drove the very boat you are looking at in heavy chop and stayed dry and true. you should be getting a good discount plus a couple freebies, vests, flares, etc... you can also negotiate the rigging costs most of the times.

congrats!

I have one that we bought last year, we love it. It seems to have plenty of power and rides great. Smart tabs and a new prop and it is even better.

Our dealer has a leftover 2008 exactly like ours right now, family fun package, extended swim platform, bow and cockpit covers, sport seating, and depth finder for $18,995. It is a little less that we paid, but it has set for a year longer too.
