Looking at a new boat tonight.

I am taking a look at a second boat for me tonight and have a couple of questions. First it is a 1980 23' Sleek Craft but it has a 200hp Johnson o/b which is a little rare. Now I keep hearing that 2-strokes will be outlawed within the next couple of years, is this true? I don't want to buy it if I can not use it.

I don't think they will send Evinrude gestapos out after us anytime soon.

This forum could be used to quickly form a political action committee that could effectively lobby in support of millions of outboard motor enthusiasts. Not to mention the fact that our gov't has other more critical issues to focus on.

I predict that they will stay around as long as we teach our children how to fix them and fabricate metal.

Thanks for that. We have a few lakes around here we cannot have 2 strokes on already and it is confusing to know if I can even bring my boat. I think I am gonna get the boat it has a great price tag and I love the style of them.
