looking at a couple skis, any help with either of these??

first one is a 96 kaw 750 ZXI. is this a solid base for an older model?

the second is a 94 polaris sl750. it needs a fuel pump, battery, and a crank. is this worth putting any money in?? any idea what I'd be looking at at the shop for that work??

My wife and I have a boat but are wanting to get a couple jet skis. we realize these are both older and we will prob get one this summer and then another b4 next season. Just thought I'd ask opinions.

IMO, I would pass on the Polaris because the cost just to replace the crank would be at least 2/3 of what the ski is worth, also Polaris is no longer making PWCs. As for the Kawi...again, IMO, that's a good starter ski. Kawi's are pretty reliable and easy to fix, if needed. That would be one to get.

I have a 94 ss750 and I have had good luck with it. nice speed and agility. a little tippy for a big person 275 pounds, but easy to work on and reliable, this is my second kawasaki sit down.
Also had a polaris 650. very heavy hull design, you would think as wide as they are they would be super stable, but are not. All in all I would skip the polaris, unless you are getting it for free and doing all of the work yourself.

the 750 ss will be a bad idea if you want to ride 2 people on it, as for the polaris forgetaboutit even if it ran but it doesn't.

my bad had the models confused you were not looking at the 750ss. be carefull to look at the pump those are a real problem when they go bad if used in salt water they all do.

the polaris I would bass on. the 750 is a decent starter ski. Not great for two people unless theire small build
