I am looking at buying another hole in the water . I found a 96 Glastron 185br that has a new 4.3 and a bravo outdrive ? Never seen a bravo behind a v6 ? I haven't went and looked yet so it may be an alpha but I'll check . I know to look for all the usual stuff check stringers best I can transom etc. My question is about the brand itself I've heard mixed reviews about the glastrons is this a low end boat ? I've heard they were poorly constructed and used cheap wood. He's asking 2500 so I'm leery already but he says it's cause the interior is rough and he don't have time to use it gaurantees it don't leak so I figure it won't hurt to check it out

Lots of 'em still on the water. / Pretty popular boat. / James Bond can make one fly. / Carlson was a pretty slick boat designer.

It's not a top end brand necessarily (though, try to buy a Scimitar) but has a better popular reputation than Bayliner. I like the Glastron boats, especially the older ones. In a boat this age it's all about condition, and at $2,500 for a '96 in the Spring selling time I'd be concerned about the condition.
