I go this Thursday to look at a 1988 27' Carver with twin 3.7 Mercruisers with 200 hours. Looks in good shape, I'll need to give a good once over. Besides the regular items like leaking ports, odors, apholstry, and hull dings, and normal mechanicals, what should I be looking for?
I am not new to baoting, but will be new to a large boat. We will have to rent a slip for this barge (compared to our 16ft bowrider) and do not plan to move it from lake to lake often (or at all as there is no trailer for the boat at the moment). Also, what would a fair price be (I know it's relative to condition) so I can compare to what they are asking? Also, one of the "Features" is "yacht certified", what does that mean specifically?
Hoping for lot's of feedback, thanks!
