I'm really close to pulling the trigger on this machine, pending a successful sea trial. I'm new to PWC's so just thougth I'd ask if there is any know issues that I should be looking for on this unit?

thanks,

4 m p g on high test fuel and the superchargers cost a lot on maintenance,, I refuse to buy any sea doo supercharged ski.. even the metal washers wear out in the supercharger and all the particles end up in the oil not a good thing. check out the requirements of servicing the ski to keep the warranty in effect,, then get prices for all the required maintenance..

I'll be honest, I don't know much about that model but I've heard a lot of fond comments on sea-doos. The rumor going around is that Yamaha is where the sweet spot is. I'm new to PWCs myself. Just got a 2001 kawasaki 1100stx. It's sturdy as rock, we had three 200lbs guys on it. If anything, make sure it is injected (which I'm pretty sure the 2005 rxt is.) They'll just start right up.

Thanks guys. I think the maintenance on the supercharger issue Jeff mentioned is a very good point and I think I'll steer clear of this one.

appreciate the thoughts.

I would look at the gtx 155 hp ski,, I have 2 of them and they get 6 mpg on regular fuel,, I have 600 hours on the red one and I drive it really hard, I also do a lot of wave jumping with it at w o t, and I love the hull design, I slalom ski behind it, with no issues, it has a top speed of 55 mph with a full tank of fuel and 60 with a half tank,, plenty fast for my old bones,, I don't get in to racing so who cares if someone has a faster ski,, I just want a reliable one since I use the heck out of it 3 days a week all year long.
with the hurricane fey getting ready to hit the gulf of Mexico I am watching for the waves to get huge and when they do I will be out flying in the air with my poor abused gtx 4 tec beating it to death.
