As most (some) of you know, I plan on pulling the heads on my 350 Magnum in the fall to have them redone.

I was planning on doing the reassembly in the spring.

How about storing the engine w/o the heads and intake manifold installed? Is this a problem? Will it develop alot of surface rust over the winter? WHat could I do to preserve it?

I am in Long Island, NY

Re: Looking Ahead

hello
after a good cleaning coat everything with Fluid Film or other solid body corrosion blocker. boeshield T9 is another good one and CRC makes a heavy durty corrosion blocker. stay away from thin body stuff like WD 40 or CRC 656. they wont stay. after a good coating use some painters plastic drop cloth and duct tape to seal the motor.
