It seem that they are more prone to problems than Kodiak brakes.
http://www.kodiaktrailer.com/redswish/disc_brakes.htm

I recently replaced my brakes with the same drums but galvanized/ss units instead of the Tie Downs due to several friends that constantly complain.
At least my drums always work with no issues.

i think that as long as the brake has alum parts mixed with stainless its going to have problems in saltwater

pretty much the sameones as drum brakes sticking parts when the alum acts up

tommays

Re: lookin for some disc brakes

the tie downs seam to only have and alum caliper and brass bleeders with a stainless piston

alum and brass are not a great combo and alum and stainlees have there problems also

the kodiak has and all stainless one i am sure its more money BUT it would seam to be the only one thats useing materials that will live in saltwater

i just stick with the drums and service them once a year and buy a new set about every 4th year for 100 dollars

tommays
