An old wooden 80 Ton trawler sank in the bay 2 days ago. It went completly down. The only thing visible was an outrigger protruding into the air. A barge and crane were required to raise the "Susan Diane"

It had been tied to the pier taking on water for a period of time befor the bilge pumps finally gave up the ghost and down she went! Fortunately the 300 galllons of diesel fuel was mostly contained. They towed her to the launch ramp. The water is being pumped out the hose on the port side. Later they pulled her up the ramp. It took three dozers pulling in tandem to get her up the ramp. She was then demolished with an earth mover.

It was quite a sight!!
