We had a freak storm blow across the lake, the worst I've ever seen there. It looked like a white wall coming across, and when it hit with high winds and horizontal rain, visibility was about 30 feet.
My neighbor's pontoon boat flipped and landed against my dock. He had it raised about to its max height and it wasn't tied up at all, it probably would have been OK if it had been tied. I hope he had insurance on it, he's only had it about 2 or 3 years. To get it back upright, they used a tow truck with a winch on the front, lots of supplemental muscle power pushing on it with boards. I would have helped, but I had to hold the camera...
