....I can't find one of these:

Everything I find is the straight thru type blower and they will simply not fit without a lot of work and even then it would be in the way.

This one still runs but the shaft had siezed up and I had to oil her down. Still can't tell if it is totally free. The motor is sealed so you can't take it apart. In fact I can't even get the nuts off the two studs that hold the back half of the snail shell to the motor.

Any ideas??

I had a similar problem so i mounted the (new) blower remotely and ran ducts - worked perfectly.

How did you end up re: the belts?

Sell it on ebay, it looks enough like an electirc turbo that someone will bite. Then use the cash to refit the boat with a straight thru and some duct work. :)

Just a thought, go to www.grainger.com and see what they have. If this is in the engine compartment, look for explosion proof or hazardous dust collector, they will not have it listed as "marine", but the idea is the same....used in an explosive enviroment.

ITT/Jabsco makes those critters with the snail shell, motor on one side, port on the other side. In your pic I can see text molded into the housing next to the port flange. What does it say?

EDIT: I think Jabsco calls it a ‘Radial Blower’.

http://www.jabsco.com/prodInfoApp/servlet/ListTypes?categoryId=JMRBL&catalogId=Marine

EDIT to the EDIT: if what you have is a ITT/Jabsco/Rule product, the motor is replaceable, if that is what you are look to do.

Thanks all, on the blower. That was easy. I don't know why I couldn't find it. It's shown right along with all the blowers on the Boaters World website.

I must have had the bolts that hold the little triangular cast alternator mounting bracket on and off 50 times trying different spacer washers and actually grinding the two mounting pads off at an angle. Then I had to put nuts/spacers behind the crank and WP pulleys.

The fore and aft alignment of the Alt pulley to the others is now ok but it is a little out of plane both vertically and horizontally. Not perfect but if it doesn't spit off belts it will work. I just mystifies the snot out of me tho.
