Suzuki 150 2cycle EFI I have a chance to buy a good powerhead with bad longshaft. Included in the deal is a second "parts" motor, same motor but bad powerhead, good shortshaft. Is this as simple as switching lower units? Or....?? Thanks Ted

I really doubt that Suzi ever made a short (15") shaft 150hp engine for recreational use.

You need clarification on shaft length. . . in terms of the transom height it fits.

They do fit, but it does sounds dodgy about the short 15" shaft, but I might be wrong ..... the ad said nothing about the first motor without the lower unit, being in good condition, just watchout for that .... good luck

Re: Long shaft to short shaft??

Need to check, but many people today refer to the 20 inch as a short shaft.

Re: Long shaft to short shaft??

Thanks guys. To a Cajun, if one is less than the other then it's short. I take your point that a "true" short shaft is 15" and that seems too short for that much transom weight at that HP, so I bet it is 20".
Boy, don't we all need luck when buying a want-ads motor! Thanks.
