With all the problems folks are dealing with Harvey, all the very well intentioned people during what ever they can to help is so great to see and hear. The issue I see is the lack of logistics. Everyone is getting a truck load or more of stuff and heading down to Texas and hope also Louisiana. I wonder how many of them have done their home work to determine exactly where their going, who their POC is, and just how what is being brought down can be used?

In Louisville I see there were several different folks loading up trailers and just headed south. All the great intentions will be of little use if they cannot get the supplies where they are needed. I commend all who are trying to help, and I hope it works out better then they hope. As a former loggy for the Navy I hope all the well intentions are not wasted

Excellent point Mr. Dodge. The things I will be taking down there is for several very close friends; we grew up together; went to school together; and got older together. Material up here isn't cheaper; but its available. Right now I'm on a call list for 28 sheets of S/R and will probably need more. Drywall screws; mud are a premium. They need it; I can get it; its there. I'm not doing this for praise or glory! I'm doing it for people who have been around each other for 40+ years. (Not aa lot of people with friends like that)! I look upon it like a neighbor living next door asking "If you go to town or out and about; pick me up a gallon of milk or a loaf of bread please." Those people down there are my "extended neighbors".
