Logic riddle

Scenario:<br />You are locked in a room. Leading out of this room are 2 doors, one labeled A and the other labeled B. Behind one door is eeboater’s avatar. Behind the other door is a furious, vicious beast, but you don’t know which door is which. <br /><br />Also in the room are 2 computers, identical in appearance. Between the 2 computers, you can ask a single question. One of these computers will always answer a question truthfully, the other always answers with a lie, but you don’t know which is which.<br /> <br />What one question can you ask either computer, not knowing whether it’s telling the truth or not, that will indicate the door to eeboater’s avatar?

"If I ask the other computer if you are the liar, what will it say?"<br /><br />If the answer is "yes", you are on the truthful 'puter.<br /><br />If the answer is "no" you are on the liar.<br /><br />Now I feel like the dog who chased a car and caught it. What do I do with it?

I approach either computer. I would ask it, "if I asked the other computer which door Jessica is behind, what would it tell me?"<br /><br />The lying computer would point to the Hillary door, so I would choose the one opposite the computer's answer. The lying computer would be telling me a lie about the truth-teller.<br /><br />The truthful computer would point to the Hillary door also, and I would go to the opposite door.<br />The truthful computer would be telling me the truth about the liar.

I heard something like that but from a "fork in the road" perspective.<br /><br />Guy comes to a fork in the road.One way leads to a village of people that always lie and the other leads to a village of people that always tell the truth.If there is one person standing at the fork in the road and you don't know what village he is from and need to ask directions to the truthfull village ,what one question could you ask either and get directions to the truthfull village.<br /><br /><br />Answer: Which way to your village?
