Hello, new member here and have a question. I have a 1976 SeaArrow with a 1974 Mercruiser 888 stern drive. It has a Ford 302 188 hp. I am restoring this boat and bought new exhaust manifolds for it. I installed the manifolds on the motor and when I got ready to install the motor back into the boat, I could not get the motor to line up with the transom plate motor mounts. After several days of scratching my head I got out the tape measure and measured the new manifolds. The old original manifolds measured 20 5/8” long. The new port side manifold measured 21 5/8 inches. The extra inch is too much for the rubber coupler to accommodate. The part I ordered was 18-1958-1, this seems to be the correct part. The new starboard side manifold is the correct length. Is there some one off part or model that I have. Not sure what to do?? Any help or insight is welcome.
