log sty mnfd./to center rise ?

i have a 79 searay(wonderful boat)had a little trouble last season with temp rising-checked the mnfd.,and dicovered they were a little tight on passage ways--i was able to get a set of center rise here close by for cheap--problem is -there are two outlet bungs on the housing that point fwd,and two that point aft-these are 3/4 fitgs.the other two fitgs. are 1" witch go to the bottom of the mnfd's. that much i know--question is does it make any diff. witch ones i use to feed the 3/4 lines-old style took 3 lines per side,new style only takes 2 lines per side -thanks-
