Just bought a new 9.9 pro kicker put on boat. Got to thinking this would be easy for someone to pull off is there anyone out there who can tell me if there is away to lock motor to transom? Thanks

Re: Locking Pro Kicker 9.9

On my motor, I lined up the clamp handles so that I could lock both handles together with a lock that has a long shackle. Of course the handles are made of plastic so don't know how effective that is. I also run a steel cable through the motor and a stern tie down and secure that with a padlock.

I had the same dilemma with my Suzuki kicker. I ended up getting a lock from www.Master lock.com.

This motor does not have the clamps !!! That is my problem. I have seen the long box style locks for the lever type. This has a bolt thru and that is it . You tighten bolt and no way to lock ,I might put Bolts thru transom and motor to slow thiefs down. I don't know why people don't work and buy there own motors LOL Thanks for Imfo,,,,,,,,, Downrigger39

Do a search for McGard locks, there marine outboard motor lock might work for you. It is a free spinning nut that requires a special tool to remove.
