Why has everyone been starting the title to their threads, with the word "Locked" ?

Is this the new "in" thing, or what? :'(

Actually, I was shocked at the number of locked threads in the last few days.
Why can't people at least try to follow the rules of the board? Don't answer that.

Well, here's my advice. Go kick the cat, or pound your fist on the wall to release your frustrations. But don't do it here. Thank you.

Edit: Hey, I just read the new rules, good job guys. I like.

Well, except the one about not posting any personal info or email addresses. We are using email to plan and arrange much of the get together details. We can't PM items like maps and such, and they are too big to post on the forum. And often times the PM doesn't seem to work. Any suggestions on how we can handle this? Thanks.

Re: Locked: Why do people do this?

I for one do not see anything in the "new" rules that was not inferred in the "old" rules. And I will have no problem abiding by them, with the possible exception of the "real name" thing and email addy stuff . . .

I am not interested in contradicting those rules, but could we get some clarification on that specific one? Can I still call Dunaruna Alvin? Can he still call me Kermit? Can I refer to Plainsman as Earp? And can I type "I will send you that instruction booklet for torque-shift props. Send me a note to: quakingrat 88 at philadelphia dot boo" ? Despite the silliness, I am honestly interested in understanding that particular set of examples.

That would be Wyatt Earp thank you very much 8)8). And I would that the mods would use some common sense and see a joke for what it is.

It will be interesting to see if the moderators can follow their own rules this time...

My post is similar to Roscoe's edits. Sometimes being helpful requires the email addys and a little bit of first name stuff fosters camaraderie . . .
