Lock down kicker motor to run straight line?

I picked up a mid-90's Yamaha 9.9 4-stroke yesterday for cabin cruiser. I want to be able to troll without having to sit in back and steer with tiller but rather steer with lower unit as I've done before. Previous kicker motors I've had could "lock" in a straight line - but it appears I'll need to rig up something for this one. Wondering how others lock their kickers to steer straight, so you can steer from the helm. Thanks in advance.

**EDIT**: Never mind - I noticed a bolt on side of steering shaft - sure enough, that locks it down. Some days I'm an idiot and I do have references....

Man has a conversation with himself and problem solved. Been there, done that. Good job.

I had a mid-90's T9.9 Yamaha and it had a small spring loaded lever that was made to keep the motor straight. It was located on the front center of the motor on or near the tilt bracket if I remember right. With the motor straight ahead, you could push it down to engage a pin into a slotted plate below it and then turn the lever 90 degrees to keep it locked.
