Local Lakes

I am just curious, and would like to know from other fishermen the distance to their favorite home lakes for fishing. I am about 55 minutes from my nearest lake. <br /><br />Thanks for the survey.<br /><br />Glen

toledo bend is my favorite lake but sadly its 3 hours to the campground we stay at...chico state park is about 40 minutes down the road though

It's about 4-1/2 hours from Tucson to the nearest lake. What a pain - I'm going to relocate to Florida!

I'm 5 minutes from the closest lake, 15 minutes from 4 other lakes. My favorite lake right now is probably about 2.5 hrs away. I might go there once more this fall, but that'll be it.

Two lakes within 1/4 mile away, one in the front yard and one in the back yard. 1 lake within 10 min. three more about 30 min.

4 lakes with in 60 to 90 min. Bartlett is my 1st pick. <br /><br />Rascalsdad, Have you tried Patagonia down by you, a lot closer then the lakes up here.

3 miles to 2 public boat ramps on the Savannah River. 300 feet to Ebenezer Creek off the river. 20 miles to Ogeechee River, 25 miles to Canoochee River and lots of ponds.

Two lakes less than 1 mile. The Mississippi a little farther than that.

about 1/4 mile on a trail from my house to the St. Louis River... favorite though would be about 50 min

Lake Simcoe which is a very large lake in Ontario is 200 feet from my front door<br /><br />Hope that helps <br /><br />Skipper

3 lakes within 30 to 45 minutes, a dozen or more within 100 miles. So much water, so little time!

About 4 miles to the river boat launch and about 45 minutes of nasty bumpy washboard roads to the stillwater reservoir. Holy crap, I haven't been fishing since the third weekend in june.

I'm about 17 bucks in gas away from my favorite haunt... Sardis Lake. Tunica and the mighty Mississippi are a good twenty bucks.
