load rite hubs?

In the course of trying to get my trailer to pass inspection I have found out that Load rite hubs are different than the average over the counter hubs. Does anyone know how I can tell what size I need. The trailer depot has both hubs and they are identical except one is a 5.5 outer and one is a 6.5 outer diameter. The number of lugs, lug pattern, bearing and journal size are all the same. The hubs I have are so rusted I can't tell what the original size was. Just the surface where it is bolted to the rim is different size what can I do?

Are you implying you can't roughly measure the difference between 5.5 and 6.5 inches? Hub outer diameter makes no difference anyway. If the bearings, number of lugs, and bolt circle are the same they should work.

As stated it makes no difference whatsoever. I bought mine at Tractor Supply instead of a “marine” supplier and saved a bunch of money on my trailer bill :)

Take your old hub with you to the store where you will buy the replacements.
