I have a 1994 Starcraft Starcaster with 2 livewells, 1 in front, 1 in rear. Neither works,<br />Please give a diagram of how these should be wired so i can trace the setup in the boat. There is one switch on dash and a fuse block if this helps.

Re: Livewell Pumps

No need to do a lot of tracing. Turn the pump switch on. Some livewell pumps are on a timer so that they run 30 seconds and are off for say three minutes. They also have a constant on setting. With the switch on, use a test light to probe the wires at the pump. No juice -- no pump operation. Check the fuses. Then check for power at the switch(es). If you can't find power anywhere, then you can start tracing. Just follow the wires by color. If you have power at the pump the pump is bad or its jammed with debris. But jamming would likely blow the fuse due to high current draw.

You also need to determine if you in fact have 2 pumps. My front and rear live wells work off 1 pump.

Re: Livewell Pumps

Thanks for the help. No power to switch. Replaced with a new one, livewells work fine.
