This boat has a switch/lever system right underneath the dash for the live well controls-(fill, empty and recircl) When I'm done filling the live well I turn it to recircl but the aerator pump runs 100% of the time until I either shut the acc switch off at the dash or switch the lever to a different mode. Is this normal? My other PolarKraft I used to own(2010 18ft Kodiak) would shut itself on and off while I was fishing to refresh the water and would not run all the time during the day..Thanks for time and inquiries!

. Not a Polar Craft but I have an early model StarCraft with 2 livewells and a baitwell. On recirc mine run steady as long as selected for recirc. Every boat I have fished in is the same. Your boat is almost brand new, I would get in touch with a Polar Craft dealer and ask them.

While on the subject we no longer use the livewells as designed unless Tourney fishing. We are meat hunters here on Lake Erie for, Walleye, Rainbows, Yellow Perch and Salmon. If out for Smallies we catch and release unless a bad bleeder etc. Then I will fire up a livewell until it recovers. Of course in a Bass Tourney we use the livewells. What we normally do when fishing for keepers is fill large plastic Pop bottles and freeze them. Put the fish under the frozen bottles and they stay far better than the warm lake water plus we have ice cold water and plenty of it. Sometimes this lake gets up to high 70's. At those temps the fish are basically poaching in the livewells and the meat goes off. If I am going to take fish for the table I need to respect the fish and treat it as well as I can. And be thankful for it. Nice boat by the way and welcome to iboats.
