Ok folks....<br /><br />Boating is easier for some of us than others...<br /><br />For me; the nearest lake is 22 miles away. The next nearest is 34 miles away. The lake I **really** like is 140 miles away.<br /><br />I know that many of you live right **ON** a lake...complete with dock, beach, boathouse et al...<br /><br />I'm already envious of you just thinking about it! Why not post a picture here to cinch the deal???<br /><br />Just don't ever forget how lucky you are... <br /><br />Thanks for reading...Chuck

My boat lives in a marina, this is a leisurely five minute boat ride from the marina. I take my kitchen/bathroom/toilet with me . I also have a choice, I've got 300mls of shoreline to make my backyard. <br /><br />

i own a cabin on a great lake up in northern wisconsin in the town of rhinelander. <br /><br />main boat by my dock<br />

<br /><br />fishing boat with a old shore station that me and a friend just completely rebuilt.<br /><br />

<br /><br />my cabin again with my boat<br /><br />

<br /><br />my cabin built in 1948 by my great grandfather.<br /><br />

You're Absolutely Right.......<br /><br />I don't think I've Ever lived more than 10 miles from a Boat Launch,......<br /><br />I Also have the cabin in Maine that was built by Myself,+ the Family,......Mom + Dad are gone,.. But My Sisters(2),+ I enjoy it,...... Them more than Me though,... It's 500 miles from My doorstep, but Maybe 20 from Theirs.........<br />This is the road out onto the point,......475' of shoreline,.... West Facing,... It's Beautiful All Year,....<br />Well,.. Except for Tax Time......<br />

<br />This 1 is from the southeast corner of the lot,.. Looking West.....<br />

<br />Ayuh,...... I made the Pumphouse out of old Propane Tanks,..... Little Red & White Paint really went a long ways with the Look of it.........<br /><br />Then back in the early 80s,.... I stumbled onto a Steal of a Deal, on Lake Bonaparte, In the Adirondacks,.........<br />$5000.00,.. For 40' of frontage with a Boathousecamp,......<br />After the boathouse burnt,... The Taxes are next to Nothing,.........<br />And,.... When a 30' Cruiser is slipped into the dock,........ Instant Cottage,..... No Taxes......<br />Best I can do on this 1 is another Winter shot,.......<br />

<br /><br /><br />Then,..... Last June,... The day before My 50th,....<br />I bought this at the County Tax Sale,..........<br />

<br /><br />40' of frontage on the mouth of the Chaumont River,..... Only 50yds to Lake Ontario,..... Or the World,.. By Boat.........<br />The Lake is as far away to the left of the pic, as the Marina that you can see accross the river.........

Never posted pictures, so my apologies in advance if this doesn't work.

Home away from home is on the beautiful Elk River in North Alabama. This is the dock, the 'toon, and the son.<br />

Is that the Campbell River in the pics?<br /><br />Get much snow in winter?<br /><br />I was looking at your project page earlier...where do you find your engines?
