Hi Guys,

Sorry if this has been covered already. I have not been around as much as I used to be in the past. But my question is what is the deal with posting links? Why are they disabled? Seems silly.

Hey Jason, This is due to the links are a direct competition to iboats sales that could potentially take away from iboats. Iboats would rather not promote another company on their fourm that sells boat related items so most competitors have been disabled. It is iboats hopes that you would try to find and post any recommended boat related items from iboats first before recommending an outside vendor.

Once it is known that iboats does not offer the item in question, it would then be okay to continue to help the OP out with providing outside information.

Does iboats have an automatic filter that updates of approved weblinks vs unapproved weblinks? I did the above link to see if it would work. And it seems to at least on my end.

I believe iboats competitors are programmed in by someone while bad words are preprogrammed. Not all is blocked just well known one's.
