i Have A 1975 70 Horse Josnson 3 Cylinder 2 Stroke Outboard. While Fishing Some Fishing Line Got Wrapped Up In The Prop And Since Has Been Leaking What Looks Like Gear Oil behind The Prop And In The Exaust In Center Of The Prop. I Have Ordered A Seal Kit For The Lower Case And Was Wondering If This Is All I Will Need To Cure The Problem. Also What Type Oil Do I Replace It With. Is This A Tough Job To Do And Is There Anything I May Need To Know Before I Take It Down To Replace The Seals. Thank You Any Help Will Be Appreciated.

Re: Line in prop, Leaking oil

As long as that's where the oil is leaking from. You should add a good marine grade gear oil in there. 75-90 weight and welcome to the forum.
