"limp mode"

Ok... got all my spark issues fixed on my 175 black max... 6 cylinders is better than 3 but now.... i was tubing the other day with my kids after about ten minutes of towing my son i lost all power and could only "limp" at about 800-1000 r.p.m. took the boat to shore and let it cool off for about 30 minutes and it fired right back up and I was good to go. Is there anyway I can prevent this from happening again?

That engine does not have a limp mode. It sonds like you have a stator dropping 1 bank of cylinders,rectifier bad overheating stator. Make sure idle stabilizer is disconnected..
