I sometimes smoke a cigar or two. I love Moontrance cigars. They are flavored and I just love their flavor. Arturo Fuente cigars are nice along with La gloria cubana cigars. I typically get my cigars at bestcigarprices.com. They have a good selection and the prices are much better than what stores sell them for around here.

As I have no true smoke shops around here and can not see mail ordering something that I might not like I stick with
Black and Mild, simple and smooth. If anyone has any suggestions I am all ears.

Heck Yeah. Smoke em if ya got em. I don't see how someone could get offended by such a question...how much further away can you get than on your own boat if you want to enjoy a good smoke? If I'm anchored with a Montecristo #2 and you don't care for the smell, find another part of the lake to set anchor! Favorites are Montecristo #2 and #4. I explain to women it's like smoking a piece of chocolate. Pair it up with a Drambuie, Macallan, or a craft brewed root-beer (if your driving anytime soon) and that's about as good as it gets!

I like Arturo Fuentes- particularly the double chateaus, and the Royal Salutes. Not easy to find around here.
H. Upmann's are on my list, as well as several others. Depends on what I can find. Mail order is usually cheaper
and better quality. Tobacco stores around here are spotty at best. And very expensive. MN raised the tax on cigars and pipe tobacco a year or two ago. Now a crappy 5 pack of Swisher Sweets costs $7! Still in sticker shock over that.

I recall your earlier post extolling the virtues of root beer as well. There's a local brewery here called Diamond Bear that produces a craft root beer. They will sell it to the general public, but they won't bottle it. Not sure why since they have the bottling facilities. I'm sure there's a good reason, but I digress. The Capital Hotel, an independent luxury hotel and legendary local fixture, serves Diamond Bear root beer floats in the bar and grill. They are exquisite.drool.gif

John Hays (various cigars) (Out of PA I think)
CAO Brazilia
Rocky Patel Sungrown Naturals, Cuban Blends, Vintage 1990's.

I bring the humidor out on the boat when I move back on it for the summer.
Usually well stocked, but thinning out. I used to order almost exclusively from cigarauctioneer.com, but then they lost a $70 order, and said 'tough luck'. Haven't settled on a replacement shop with good prices yet.

Not a cigar smoker, but I do like to make my own smokes as well as take my corncob pipe out with me. Very relaxing to kick back on a nice evining with my pipe and my feet proped up on the rail with Jimmy Buffet on the cd player and a cold beer at hand:)

The ONE true Cuban I've smoked had evidence of buggys in it. Mainly, when I took the band off the cigar, there was a nice little hole augured thru the cigar. Something crawled out (I really hope it was OUT), but they just threw the band on it to hide it, and sent it along its way.

I ended up dripping some candle wax onto the hole to plug it, so I could at least smoke part of the cigar. It obviously burned uneven, but was surprisingly bland tasting, with a harsh bite, but who knows, maybe I was smoking a bug..

I tried the cigar route, but I either ended up with something that was too light, or with something that had terrible tounge bite. I moved over to the pipe side, and found McClelland's TQ, but every now and again, I'll pick up a cigar to see if I can find one I like.

I like my pipe as well as a cigar. I was just standing in my driveway the other day enjoying one of my bent briars, and got several compliments from passers by on the aroma of the pipe smoke- reminding them of their father, uncle, etc.... Never get compliments like that with cigars. On the boat if I have passengers, I try and keep myself down wind.

Give these a whirl puma. You won't be disappointed. Perfect balance and no tongue bite.

No smoking on my boat unless I get something in writing that the smoker is willing to replace the deck if damaged.

I'll surely lite up a few sticks, unless the kids are out with me. Gotta love relaxing with a great cigar while relaxing on the boat.

Smoke mostly Punch, Upmann, and Romeo habanos. I break out my vintage stuff quite often if any smoking buddies might be hangin' around that day.

I do love a Punch. I'm also a fan of Henry Clays. However, both are definitely special occasion selections for me.
