Finally took boat out a night after 6 years! Are the following things normal?
1) stern light on regardless of nav switch setting....only went off with battery cutoff switch. 2) Appears (but not verified) that instrument lights on during the day again regardless of nav switch setting. Appreciate any comments. Thanks, Art

Your navigation lights have 3 settings, (off, anchor and running)
In the Anchor mode only your stern light should be on (that's your white light) you are required by law to have that on when you are not underway or anchored.

In the running mode you have your stern light on and your bow lights (red and green) they help other boat know what direction you are going in. They are required to be on when you are moving or underway.

Off is off

Dash lights stay on all the time regardless.
