lifting/tilting 1970 something mercury 70 hp 2 stroke

I bought this boat last fall and parked it. I lowerd the motor and now I can't get it up. How do I raise the motor up?<br /><br />Thanks for any help

Put the remote control lever in forward (put it toward the front of the boat). The motor gets locked down when the motor is in reverse (lever toward back of boat).

Thanks, Turns out the pivoting points and or shocks were seized. Probably from being out in the rain all winter
