IM new to all of this so here goes when i go WOT the bow lifts off the water and gently as top speed is hit sets back down. Is that normal or should it stay closer to the surface? Going half throttle keeps it in the air a bit.

Mabey i should ajust the tilt down a notch??

Oh its a 40 hp super seahorse 1963

You can adjust down a bit but if it settles back down at anything over half throttle you're okay now. As the boat launches bow rise is very normal and the boat and motor setup dictates how much bow rise.
