Trying to buy a lifting eye that attaches to the flywheel, both stores I called have them as tools but not for resale.

Q1. Where can I buy this lifting eye?

Q2. Is there another SAFE way to lift this motor, I have obtained a 2 ton motor hoist which will go high enough to do the job. Just want to make sure I don't damaged the motor.

Jerry

If you can get a nut (for the top of the crankshaft) weld a steel loop on top of it. My '02 90 hp lifts by this type of "hootus" and I made a rig with a chain. Can't say it works (it should) as I was going to lift my engine to install a new steering cable and found out that I didn't have to.....after I built it.

Mark
